Theo-Sight Institute for Research and Advocacy is pleased to announce that we have officially received approval from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), marking an important milestone in our commitment to responsible, ethical, and legally compliant research and data management.
As an institution dedicated to producing high-quality research, evidence-based advocacy, and compassionate interventions, we recognize that the trust placed in us by research participants, partners, communities, and institutions must be matched by the highest standards of data protection.
Our NDPC approval affirms our commitment to ensuring that all personal data collected, processed, stored, and managed through our research and institutional activities are handled in accordance with the provisions of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), 2023, and established best practices for privacy, confidentiality, and information security.
For Theo-Sight, data protection is more than a regulatory requirement—it is an ethical responsibility. Whether documenting human rights concerns, conducting field research, engaging vulnerable communities, or supporting policy development, we remain committed to safeguarding the dignity, privacy, and rights of every individual whose information we are entrusted with.
This achievement further strengthens our capacity to collaborate with government institutions, development partners, academic institutions, civil society organisations, faith-based organisations, and international stakeholders who require robust data governance and compliance.
We express our appreciation to our partners, supporters, and the entire Theo-Sight team whose dedication has made this milestone possible.
As we continue contributing to Africa’s sustainable development through transformative research, research-driven advocacy, compassionate action, and strategic storytelling, we remain committed to conducting every aspect of our work with integrity, professionalism, accountability, and respect for data privacy.
